Aransas County Medical Services Inc. (ACMSI) has been the driving force behind medical care in our community for many years. ACMSI established in 1975 by dedicated volunteers (our Little Ol' Ladies in tennis shoes) to bring healthcare to our community. In 1976 we established tax exempt status, adopted bylaws and formed Board of directors. ACMSI established the 911 EMS services in January 1977, next built the Enterprise medical clinic in 1979 to bring physicians to our community (several physicians are still practicing in Rockport today) , We built and dedicated the GM Pattillo memorial Heliport in 1981 this brought patients from the oilfield to the Enterprise Medical Clinic ER. This Heliport is still in use today for emergency services, In 1982 ACMSI constructed the emergency services office and training division to continue giving back through EMT training and education. These volunteers constructed and opened a workshop in 1984 and completed the state of the art EMS office in 2008 completing the Enterprise Medical Complex. In 2016 opened ACMSI Community Resources to assist our community with gently used medical equipment, fall prevention and advocate on behalf of clients and the medical community. Today our goal is to grow our community through education and focusing on health and wellness for our community with strong partnerships with area physicians and clinics. We are giving back to our community by awarding scholarships to R-FISD and citizens of Aransas County that are interested in the medical field. We have placed our personal touch through training and awareness programs such as child safety programs, community CPR, There For YOU! Project , community health fairs, and standing strong during Covid, disaster and evacuations.
As we move forward we hope to keep excellent medical care and awareness in our home town
